The Unwash Review

Unwash is the first professional Co-Washing System, it challenges conventional wisdom and the harsh cycle of traditional shampoo, condition, repeat. Unwash offers an interchangeable approach that gently removes dirt and surface build-up while locking in moisture, extending the life of hair color and upholding hair’s natural integrity. It’s a 4-step program, from which I have 3 and my only regret was not getting the Hydrating Masque as well.

For everyday use you have the Bio-Cleansing Conditioner: a gentle non-foaming cleanser, It leaves the hair completely clean and very soft and shiny. This made my hair smell so good that my boyfriend decided to give it a try and now I have to keep it hidden from him as he is hooked as well. He has very dry coarse hair and loves how soft and manageable this leaves his hair. It contains Hydrolized Keratine which helps strengthen the hair and reduce frizz. I love this cleansing conditioner and can’t get enough of it.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Trimethylsilylamodimethicone, C11-15 Pareth-7, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, C12-15 Pareth-9, Glycerin, Polysorbate 60, Trideceth-12, Cetrimonium Chloride, Panthenol, Parfum, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil (Hemp Seed Oil), Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Citric Acid, Borage Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis Oil, Linum Usitatissimum Oil, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-propyl Silanetriol, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, Hexyl Cinnamal.

Whenever you feel your hair getting heavy and limp from styling products that the cleansing conditioner alone can’t clean, you use the Anti-Residue Rinse, a mild deep cleanser with a balanced pH. It’s the gentlest and yet most effective deep cleansing shampoo I’ve ever used. I don’t really get a lot of build up on my hair as I don’t use a lot of styling products and use very little products with silicone but I like to use this shampoo once every 2 weeks before I do a deep repairing mask. It doesn’t dry out the hair at all. You’re meant to follow this product with their Hydrating Masque which unfortunately I don’t have.

For in between washes they also have the Dry Cleanser, an ultra-lightweight dry shampoo that dries out clear without any residue. It’s perfect if you have really flat hair that gets greasy quite quickly as this will not only cleanse it but give it some oomph. I don’t normally need to use dry shampoo as my hair is pretty normal but I love to spray this at the ends after blowdrying for some texture.
