First of all I am terribly sorry for this blogging absence, I went on holidays in the beginning of the month and after I returned home I had to go straight to work!! Anyway I’m back to blogging on a regular basis and I decided to start with some of my current skincare favorites.
Starting with the most important step in my routine: Cleansing I’m loving the Secret Key White Pearl Illuminating Cleansing Foam (£6.61). I usually stay away from foaming cleansers simply because I find them way to stripping for my dehydrated skin, but not this one! Although I’ve never seen this much foam in my life it leaves me skin really soft and comfortable and most importantly perfectly clean. I use it as part of my double cleanse at night after I remove my makeup with a cleansing oil.
I know 95% people only (wrongly) use SPF during the hot Summer months, I’m part of the 5% who wears SPF all year around and this is the second time I purchased this Uriage Hyseac Fluid SPF50 (£8.72) and the first time, a few years ago, God only knows why I hated it and threw away an almost full bottle of it and again, God only knows why when I was wondering through a pharmacy back in Portugal I decided to give this another go. I couldn’t be happier I did! This is the perfect SPF for me, it’s non-sticky, doesn’t leave a residue, absorbs quickly, it works beautiful under makeup and I could go on forever telling good things about it! Absolutely love this.
I’m not growing any younger and my 26 years old eyes were starting to show some signs of tiredness and early aging so I decided I had to do something about it, after my dear friend Raquel from Luxurious Skin raved about this SPAUSA Eye Contour Gel (£22.35) I knew I have to give it a whirl. I’m not a big fan of eye gels but this one really overdid my expectations, it’s very hydrating and plumping and it leaves my eye contour very soft and bright, I love to use this in the morning as a wake up. It does help to depuff the eyes and to brighten the dark circles I can almost swear my birth mark is a little less grey-ish and I can cover it much better and almost to perfection since I starting using this. Unfortunately it only sells in Portugal so if you go there on Holiday, definitely give this one a try. Plus it brings 30 ml which makes a great value for money.
Another recent pleasent discovery was Skin Chemists a skincare brand that has been around for more than 30 years but I just discovered it about a month ago, I’m currently loving this Rapid Facial Mask (£38) and I can tell you with all the certainaty in the world it’s the best face mask I ever tried (Yes, I this is far better than the Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask by REN or the Guinot Fresh Radiance Peel of Mask which was my favorite until I found Rapid Facial)!!! It exfoliates and treats my skin to perfection in as little as 5 minutes and without any sort of irritation. My skin is left smooth and plumped and as luminous as it never was before. I’m currently using it 2-3 times a week for about a month and my skin never looked better, I’m getting so many compliments on my skin and already converted a few colleagues at work.
As you know I’ve always been a great fan of Asian products specially BB creams and this Ettusais BB Mineral Gel SPF25++ (£18.05) is not an exception and it has replaced my foundation throughout the Summer. It has a gel consistency it goes on smoothly and it dries completely mate but it gives a sheer and dewy glow, it is chemical-free, friction free, paraben-free and it doesn’t contained any mineral oil. Its packed full of vitamins, antioxidants and salicylic acid to keep my skin moist and blemish free and the color it’s an absolute match to my skin tone. Couldn’t be more pleased with this BB gel which I won over on a blog giveaway :)Last but not least it’s a sample product which I can’t wait to buy the full size but I have too many face oils to justify buying this one.. Yet… I’m talking about the Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil (£32), which is really nourishing and perfect to use during the Summer days when my skin really feels dry and lifeless, this oil just revitalizes and brings my skin back to life.
Have you tried any of my favorites? Which ones and what do think about them?
