TOP 5: Makeup picks for Spring

It looks like Spring has finally sprung in London and it’s the perfect timing for me to show you my Spring makeup picks. For spring I prefer my makeup to be on light side, well I always prefer to be on the light side who am I kidding? But I like to wear brighter colors in general and wear products with a more dewy finish, whereas in winter I usually go for a shimmer finish and a mate finish in the summer, am I crazy? Definitely, but without further due here are my picks for my favorite season.

Starting from the beginning: Primer! Ever since I got this Heimish Artless Glow SPF50 Primer ¦ £13.78 here, I haven’t let go of it and I wear it every single day. It gives a lit from within glow to the skin without being shimmery at all. It’s nourishing but none greasy a it absorbs quickly, I proceed with foundation right after applying it. The best of it? It contains SPF50 so it’s one less step I need every morning.

I’ve the had this L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation ¦ £8.95 here for a while but the color was a bit off when I first got it. I tried it again a couple of weeks ago and the color was just perfect so I started wearing it and it’s perfect for this time of year. Light and dewy, has just the right amount of coverage for me, it’s like my skin but better.

In Spring I’m all about glowing skin, anything that makes me look less dull at 6am is welcome and if it’s a beautiful and organic multi-purpose product even better! I’ll do a proper review on this product soon because I love it to much! I love the glow it gives and the sheer flush of color which makes me look alive. The Vapour Aura Multi Use Blush ¦ £31 here, has been my go for cheeks and lips for the last 2 months, I also use it on my eyelids to give them a nice glossy sheen.

The NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette in Warm Neutrals ¦ £16 here has been the one and only palette I have been using since I bought it a few months ago and I feel like it’s not going anywhere, anytime soon as I love it soooooo much!! I use it every single day, it’s so versatile and the colors look really good on my skin tone, I can’t honestly get enough of it and it will be my go-to for Spring.

I lost track of how many years ago I stopped tanning, sometimes I do wish I could just sit under the sun for a few hours but I’m far too scared of future consequences to do it and to be honest I don’t really like the look of tanned skin. What do like is the look of a slight sunburn on the cheeks and nose, you know those moments when you looked flushed from the heat right before you burn your skin off. I think it’s very sexy and it gives a beautiful healthy glow to the skin and the Benefit Galifornia Blusher ¦ £24.50 here does just that. It you that sunkissed look without you know, burning. I love to apply it lightly to the whole cheek and center of the nose, when paired with the dewy cushion foundation a rose golden highlighter my skin looks just divine!!
